The visit to this interesting Ethnographic Park will allow you to admire the set of the Guanches Pyramids that Thor Heyerdahl discovered, as well as the “Sustainable Garden” and the “poisonous” garden

In 1991, the step pyramids of Guimar were investigated by the famed Norwegian anthropologist, Dr. Thor Heyerdahl, who considered them similar in style to others in Mexico, Peru, and ancient Mesopotamia.

The ‘Piramides de Guimar’ Ethnographic Park offers the opportunity to visit these interesting monuments, and provides an overview of the various theories about the origins and dissemination of ancient civilizations.

In the “poison garden” we find the largest exhibition in the Canary Islands of the various types of poisonous plants existing in the world.
